Regroup for FY 2025-26
(1) Chair Holly Murphy called the meeting to order at 6:18 PM.
Present: Daniel Outlaw, Corby Drewes, Matt Friedman, Margaret, PJ Andrews, JT Lee, Patrick Wilson, and Scott Anglim.
(2) The agenda was introduced and approved unanimously.
Approval of previous minutes for April, 2025, were deferred until June.
(3) Board reviewed key MNA milestones and achievements for FY 2024-25, including social events and the 2024 holiday party.
Business Agenda
(4) Board Communications Platform
Scott makes the motion to adopt Discord as the primary communication channel for board business, while also regularly circulating agendas, scheduling, public-facing and outstanding information via email. PJ seconded. Approved unanimously.
(5) Treasurer’s Report
Patrick reports financial outlook of the upcoming fiscal year, beginning July 1, with an overview of key monthly expenses and various account balances. Action items for June:
(5-1) Review revenues and explore fundraising opportunities.
(5-2) Reach out to Danny Yost, who has often subsidized the organization, to transfer all items including logins, account details, and multi-factor authentications.
(5-3) Explore a membership drive, including a review of membership rates by category, membership reviews, and subscription-based financing.
(6, 7) Priorities Brainstorm FY 2025-26 & Committees
Holly moves to table approval of (6) formal priorities and (7) committees for FY 2025-26 until June meeting, using May to brainstorm new ideas and collect feedback via a google form. Patrick seconded. Approved unanimously.
Discussion of priorities for the next fiscal year centered around improving internal organization, increasing public outreach and community presence, providing regular updates of new developments and serving as a resource for events and hyperlocal news via newsletter and improved social media presence, and acting as a liaison between the city and the community.
(8) Meeting Schedules
Scott moves to maintain meetings as the second Monday of every month, while exploring a non-conflicting date for future meetings to maximize City staff and community representatives’ availability. Corby seconded. Approved unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 7:32 pm. Next meeting: June 9th, 6:15 pm.
