The Board of Directors is the governing and policy‑making body of the Midtown Neighborhood Association.
Election Timeline
- Board nominations: March 2, 2026 - March 31, 2026.
- Voting: April 1, 2026 - April 13, 2026
- 2026 Board of Directions will be seated on April 13, 2026, during the MNA Board Meeting
- Officers are elected by the newly seated Board on April 13, 2026, during the MNA Board Meeting

Board nominations will be open until March 31, 2026. Using the form below, you may nominate yourself or someone else for a board position.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Be a current member of this Association. You can become a member if you reside, own a business, run an organization, or own property within these boundaries: J Street to R Street and 15th Street to 29th Street in Sacramento, California USA, Planet Earth. (Note: Locations on both sides of J Street and R Street qualify for this association at this time.) Members who live outside of the boundaries but represent an institution or member-based organization may run for the board. Only one such positions are allowed according to our Bylaws.

- Complete the candidacy filing below.
- Attend the MNA Board Meeting on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:15 PM.
Voting will begin April 1, 2026, and remain available electronically and in-person until April 13, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., during the MNA April Board Meeting.
Officer Roles
At the April Board Meeting, the newly seated Board Members will elect officers of the Board. Only Board members are eligible to be officers of the Association. Newly sat Board Members interested in an officer position should prepare a statement to share during the meeting.
Board Member. Attend monthly meetings of the MNA Board for a term of 1 year.
Chair. Responsible for presiding at all meetings of the Association and the Board, setting agendas, and representing as the Association's primary contact person.
Vice Chair. Assumes the duties of the Chair in the absence of the Chair.
Secretary. Keeps accurate minutes of all meetings.
Treasurer. Receives and deposits all moneys for the Association, keeps itemized accounts of all receipts and disbursements, prepares and presents a report of receipts and disbursements at each meeting of the Board.
Business / Institution Representative. Maximum of 1 member representing an organization, institution, business, or non-profit within the neighborhood, as owners or renters, non-residents who own property within the neighborhood, or commercial tenants who lease within the neighborhood.
