What We Do & Why We Do It
Our Mission is to nurture our livable, vibrant, and evolving Midtown community through respectful collaboration among all classes, identities, and cultures.
Where We Want to Go
Our Vision is to make Midtown Sacramento the most healthy, inclusive, and sustainable mixed-use community in America.
Why you should join!
Four reasons why you should join Midtown Neighborhood Association (MNA):
1. To represent the residential voice of Midtown. Enjoy being a part of the first point of contact when media, organizations, property developers, elected officials and the City reach out to get a pulse on public opinions about various matters in Midtown. MNA is the organization they turn to first for public engagement and outreach opportunities in Midtown.
2. To get connected with your community and “hear-it-first.” Through our bi-monthly community meetings, enjoy socializing with neighbors and local businesses, and being the first to uncover new opportunities in Midtown.
3. To take pride in and benefit from being a “watchdog” for our community. As issues develop, MNA has the capacity to mobilize neighbors and leverage our relationships with public works, elected officials, and peace officers, to get you swift response times. We’re here to support our Midtowners to grow the neighborhood as an inclusive, supportive and welcoming home for all.
4. To utilize as a support system. Did you know that as a member, you may request support from MNA in mediating conflict resolution regarding neighborhood matters? This service is available upon request to MNA membership.
Why should I pay to be a member of the Midtown Neighborhood Association?
To keep MNA as an independent voice for Midtown. MNA’s entire budget is sourced solely from within the neighborhood. We do not accept money or donations from people or entities outside of neighborhood borders. This ensures our mission, vision, and goals remain home-grown, representing the interest of our community members.
A week’s worth of coffee buys you a year’s worth of support for our neighborhood. Your contribution helps to power the Association’s mission to nurture our livable, vibrant, and evolving Midtown community through respectful collaboration among all classes, identities, and cultures. We envision Midtown Sacramento becoming the most healthy, inclusive, and sustainable mixed-use community in America.
Invest in direct action for your community. Membership dues are entirely spent right back in the neighborhood. $10.00 per year gets you a seat at the table to have a say in how we spend funds to directly invest in our community through neighborhood events like National Night Out, to provide food at our informative public meetings, and to host important resources on our website Midtownsac.org. Isn’t it nice to see your donation go to something tangible, something close to home?
Membership is discounted to $10. Don't miss out!
