The 19J project was unanimoulsy approved by the Sacramento Planning and Design Commission on November 17. Click here to watch the video of the commission meeting. 

Project Description  (from the City)
A request to demolish two single-story commercial buildings and construct an 11-story mixed-use building with 173 units and approximately 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail space on .29 acres in the General Commercial (C-2-NC) zone. The project requires Site Plan and Design Review with deviations for height and open space requirements. The project is also required to provide a significant community benefit to exceed the allowable Floor Area Ratio for the site. An administrative parking review is also requested to waive a portion of the required vehicle parking.

An 8-story mixed use building with ground floor commercial and 73 residential units on approximately 0.44 acres in the Residential Mixed Use (RMX-SPD) zone and located in the R Street Corridor Special Planning District. This request requires a Planning and Design Commission level Tentative Map for condominium purposes (including 3 commercial airspace lots and 1 airspace lot for residential), a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum density in the R Street Corridor SPD, and Site Plan and Design Review with deviations to reduce setbacks and exceed the maximum allowed height. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
​The Yamanee project is a planned 178-foot (14-15 stories) condo tower across from a 9-story SHRA senior housing tower.

The Yamanee project is a multi-story, mixed-use condominium building that proposes almost 14,134 square feet of ground floor and mezzanine commercial uses and 134 for-sale residential units. The project is located on approximately 0.44 acres at the southeast corner of 25th and J Streets in the General Commercial (C-2-MC) zone and located in the Midtown Commercial overlay zone.
